We have a great children's museum about 20 minutes from our house. The kids can go and touch EVERYTHING!! They can dress up, play house, play with a big firetruck or fun musical instruments. It's a great place to go in the winter time when we can't play outside. :)
Hogle Zoo is about and hour and a half from us and we've been down there a couple of times. Bry loved all the animals and he especially loved the train we got to ride on.
We went camping this summer and these Horny Toads were in abundance. Bry and Maddie both wanted to hold this little guy.
Grandma took all the grand kids to the circus last year. Bry couldn't believe all the big elephants and loved the fire!
Another big children's museum is near us and of course the kids loved it. You can touch everything and Maddie spent quite a big of time on this little teeter totter thing. She'd go up and down the slide FOREVER!
Our neighborhood does a big bike parade for the 24th of July. The kids get to decorate their bikes (and themselves!) and then go around the block throwing candy. SO FUN!

We have LOTS of parks in our area which is good because Maddie is QUITE the climber. She loves to up and down the stairs and will even go down the big slides... backwards. :)
There is an indoor park in are area that is really fun. There's a big climbing gym for the kids, bowling, skating and lots of video games. Bry loves to climb but his favorite is Ski Ball. He'll play for hours if we let him! Then, he loves to take all the tickets he's won and buy candy or other fun prizes.
This train museum was a big hit with our Families Supporting Adoption group. There were these trains to climb on outside and then inside there was a big train track set up that the kids could follow all thru the museum. We'll be going there again this fall and Bryson CAN'T wait. :)
